Ideal Candidate Experience:
A Tax Partner in a mid-tier or other sizeable accountancy practice, or a Tax Director in the Big 4 who is seen by clients. In the majority of cases, you will have been the lead partner in the provision of services.
Whilst the main focus would be corporate tax, all round tax skills are needed to meet the needs of entrepreneurs and their private or quoted companies or limited partnerships. These services do not include the selling of tax products.
The firm wants someone who is as much a General Business adviser as a tax specialist. The business does not keep tax in isolation and the ability to work closely on transactions and to lead the team is paramount.
The existing business strategy will involve:
- Exploiting the opportunities to take on conflict work from the Big 4.
- Undertaking high level corporate compliance work for large listed companies.
- Working on Corporate Finance Transactions where they occur.
- Expanding the tax side to circa double its current size.
Your specialist knowledge will be required on :-
- All forms of corporate tax and CGT planning for private companies.
- Cross border planning, both inbound and outbound, such for companies and transfer pricing.
- Director/employee remuneration planning including all forms of share schemes.
- Proven transaction experience in dealing with the corporate and personal aspects of:-
- MBO's / MBI's - i.e. private equity and leveraged debt structures.
- Reorganisations – purchases and sales.
- General corporate finance matters.
